The number and size of Battery Hybrid vessels have increased rapidly since their first introduction. The Battery technology has been rapidly developing and are now being considered as a viable alternative power system for ships. With limited experience of the technology, the success of such projects will depend upon understanding the key technical limitations, selecting the optimal battery technologies, and integrating these projects into the existing or assets and infrastructure network.

DNV GL has extensive experience supporting our customers in these areas. This complimentary seminar will include:

  • An outlook for the global Maritime Battery and its potential Global impact
  • Update on US Policy on Maritime Lithium Ion Batteries.
  • An overview of the most common technical challenges facing Battery Safety
  • Key points for selecting the right Battery technologies
  • Lessons learned from Battery Hybrid Projects and Battery Technology leaders.
