The Sustainable Development Goals as a driver to F&B company’s future success will be the subject of the DNV GL session at the Sustainable Development in food & beverage industry summit in Berlin, January 2018.
It is the 6th time European Network Group (ENG) hosts this summit. This year will focus on the importance of developing a sustainable value chain in the food production and consumption cycle. The conference will highlight the latest innovations and initiatives for sustainable development of businesses. ENG invites you to engage in roundtable discussions about best practices and case studies of challenges and solutions from industry leaders.
Stakeholders, such as customers, NGOs and governments, are placing increasing demands on the business community. Concerns about natural resources are rising. Consumers are demanding more transparency and traceability for the products they consume. Operating in a sustainable manner both benefits wider society and provides a company with significant market-related, financial and regulatory advantages. However, the fact that sustainability is rising on the corporate agenda does not mean that turning the concept into tangible actions is straightforward and without obstacles. In order to achieve results, management must be committed to prioritizing time and resources, building internal awareness and competence and establishing effective support mechanisms.
